Fees

Understanding our fee structure

At GigaLegal, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional and personalised immigration services. Recognising that each case is unique, our fees are structured to reflect the intricacies and specific requirements of your situation. Our approach ensures that you receive tailored services that best address your individual needs.

Factors affecting our fees

Our fee structure is influenced by various factors, including but not limited to:

  • Your current location (UK or abroad)
  • Any previous immigration history
  • The volume of supporting evidence required
  • The urgency and complexity of your case
  • Speed at which necessary documents are provided
  • Home Office processing times, which vary by application type

Please note that all our fee ranges provided are estimates. The actual fees will be based on the particularities of your individual case. These estimates are intended for guidance purposes only.

Case cost estimation

Our hourly rates range from £150 to £300, depending on the expertise level of the professional handling your case. We also offer fixed fees for certain applications, determined after a thorough review of your situation.

Please note that our fees exclude any disbursements, such as Home Office fees, and are exclusive of VAT. Should a matter be terminated before completion, charges will be applied based on the time spent at our standard hourly rates. Additional work outside the scope of a fixed fee agreement will be charged on an hourly basis, with prior estimation provided.

Fixed fee arrangements

In many instances, after an initial review, we can offer a fixed fee. This arrangement provides you with a clear and predictable cost structure, assuming no unforeseen complications or significant changes occur during your case.

Providing estimates

We offer specific estimates of our legal fees before beginning any work based on the expected workload and our hourly rates. These estimates consider your case’s individual characteristics, including type, complexity, number of applicants, and other pertinent factors.

Value-Added Tax (VAT) considerations

Typically, Value-Added Tax (VAT) is applicable to our charges and certain disbursements. This is relevant for clients whose primary residence is within the UK. It includes scenarios where individuals had legal permission to reside in the UK but have since overstayed their visa. Conversely, for those not residing in the UK, or for individuals who have entered the country either without authorization or as asylum seekers awaiting permission to stay, VAT is generally not applicable.

Third-party or other costs
In addition to our costs, you will be responsible for paying costs payable to another organisation which are incurred by us on your behalf, such as, and not necessarily limited to:
• Home Office application fees,
• the Immigration Health Surcharge (if applicable),
• Tribunal and Court fees,
• barristers’ fees,
• expert report fees,
• interpreter/translation costs,
• our travel costs (if we have to travel outside our office on your behalf, for example to a Tribunal hearing or to the Home Office), and
